Lombardi Converting Machinery shines at Labelexpo Chicago
Friday 04. October 2024 - This approach allows engineers and technicians to work more efficiently and accurately by experimenting and testing various scenarios virtually before physical prototypes are made, leading to cost savings, reduced production times, and improved quality.
From September 10th to 12th, 2024, Labelexpo Americas took place in Chicago, where Lombardi Converting Machinery made a distinctive mark with its freshness and technological innovation. Over the course of three days, the event was bustling with print industry specialists from across the United States and much of Latin America. Lombardi expanded its networking reach, strengthening existing collaborations and laying the groundwork for new ones with key players in the sector.
In Hall F, Lombardi showcased a flexo color unit from its most in-demand product line: the INVICTA i1. This was accompanied, in partnership with SIEMENS, by the futuristic digital model: the Twin Model. This pioneering machine blends the physical world with the virtual simulation realm, offering advantages in machine configuration, process simulation, easy operator training, and much more.
The Twin Model embraces the principles of digital engineering, an approach that leverages cutting-edge technologies and digital tools to optimize the development, design, and production of products and systems. Digital engineering integrates disciplines such as engineering, computer science, mathematics, and data analysis to solve complex problems and drive innovative solutions. Through the use of digital tools, virtual prototypes can be created, enabling quick design adjustments, product performance simulations, and the optimization of production processes.
Moreover, digital engineering enhances collaboration and communication across teams and disciplines, as everyone can work within a shared digital platform.
