Offset Printing
RMGTs and SD-Italys Exhibition Stand Units Heading to the USA after drupa 2024
Friday 10. May 2024 - Graphco, a leading provider of offset, print finishing, and dimensional signage solutions in North America, announces their participation in live demonstrations in four manufacturerpartners booths during drupa 2024, the worlds leading trade show for printing technologies.
With over 260,000 visitors from over 180 countries expected to attend, drupa 2024 will be held from May 28-June 7, 2024, at the Messe Düsseldorf. Graphco will be partnering with the following international manufacturers in the print & finishing industry: RMGT, SD-Italy, Foliant, and Horizon.
“As the distribution arm of our partnerships, Graphco is proud to participate with our European and Japanese manufacturers during drupa. We are also excited to announce that we are bringing back to the USA both the RMGT press, and SD-Italy CNC Routing & Cutting table being exhibited in our Manufacturer’s booths,” states Chris Manley, President of Graphco. “The companies we represent will be showcasing their latest products, innovations, and ideas and all four companies will be releasing new products that will impact Graphco customers for years to come. Print technology enthusiasts looking to discover the latest innovations will find what Graphco calls The Unfair Advantage during this international event.”
Graphco is the Exclusive Midwest & Southeast Distributor for RMGT’s most popular 970, 920, 790 Series sheetfed offset presses. Under the theme “Assist Your Potential with Technological Expertise and Constant Innovation,” RMGT’s exhibits and demonstrations will focus on two major concepts: “Increased productivity for commercial printing, and folding-carton packaging, through autonomous operation using the most popular 970PF-8+LED as the platform,” and “Further automation for package printing.”
After it’s 10-day stand in the RMGT booth in Dusseldorf, where the press will provide fully autonomous demonstrations for the global commercial print and folding-carton markets, the ASAP equipped 8-UP+ RMGT 970PF-8+LED convertible perfector will be shipped back to the USA for installation by Graphco’s industry leading Technical Support Group. Graphco’s customer, a 100% heat-set and traditional web offset printer, is awaiting their new RMGT press which will be fed by the second Quantum Design QRS-970 roll-to-sheet converter integrated into an RMGT 9 Series by Graphco.
Like all RMGT 970 Long Perfectors sold by Graphco, not only are 4/4 and 5/5 jobs perfected on .020″ card stock for all kinds of commercial applications, but with the touch of a button they convert into straight printing mode and process .024″ board stock at full speed with up to 10 colors available to provide dramatic and impactful folding carton applications at a per-piece cost point that cannot be replicated on larger platforms.
“24-point board, or less, encompasses more than 90% of the work produced in the folding carton market because this stock provides ample stability for the product being packaged, but doesn’t raise the “per carton” weight to levels marketers don’t want to pay to ship,” states Manley. “The extremely fast selling RMGT 970 is also available in straight configurations up to 8 colors, is available with new generation skeleton cylinders (which raises processing to 31-point board), and long perfectors in up to 10 colors. All presses are available with in-line coating along with the most affordable and comprehensive automation packages on the market, making the RMGT 9 Series press the leader in the 8-up sheetfed offset press market in North America.”
The RMGT booth will highlight how the advanced automation and laborsaving technologies of RMGT presses are pioneering a new era for both commercial printing and folding carton printing. “When we made the decision to purchase the drupa stand RMGT 970PF-8+LED, in conjunction with our European colleagues from WGM in Italy, we felt confident that between our two organizations the press would go under contract before the show. We are excited to not only sell this press, but also to open another new Graphco/RMGT account that has been a 100% web offset producer for well over 100 years. This is a real home run for the RMGT brand and our customer since the lead time is very short and this new press will increase their competitive advantage in the mid- & short-run market space,” concludes Manley.
SD-Italy (Hall 8b B11)
“Graphco is proud to bring a strong new competitor from Europe to the CNC routing & cutting market in North America,” continues Manley. “We are hybridizing cut by introducing a true hybrid routing & cutting solution that fills a unique gap in dimensional signage manufacturing that not only cuts and mills, but we are also offering CNC controlled welding capabilities, drilling & tapping of sign brackets which creates a one-of-a-kind solution that helps drive higher profits for our customers.”
“At the ISA show in Orlando we were fortunate enough to conclude the sale of the 7.6-meter Augusta F150R CNC Router that will be exhibited on the SD-Italy stand during drupa. Having placed both our 10-foot and 15-foot tables so far, for us to install this huge 24’ router in one of the Southwestern United States’ most respected signage manufacturers directly from the drupa show will dramatically impact the North American signage market in the coming months,” states Manley.
New technologies that will be unveiled by SD-Italy at drupa involve welding capabilities that address a wider scope of needs for sign manufacturers and installers. “We will also highlight a unique drilling & tapping process that demonstrates why the SD-Italy Augusta F150R Pro is The Unfair Advantage machine for heavy-duty signage applications,” states Manley.
Foliant (Hall 6 F32)
As the exclusive distributor for Foliant laminating solutions in North America, Graphco will be participating in live demonstrations of their complete line of high value-added finishing equipment. Foliant is the leading brand in both single- and dual-side laminating, offering the most complete range of laminating machines on the market. Whether a packaging printer needs a high-quality and fast solution for high-end folding cartons in the 8-up format, or if a book printer is looking for a fast and consistent book cover solution, Foliant offers the right machine for every application.
Horizon (Hall 6 F21 – F21-3)
As the Midwest distributor for Standard Horizon in the United States, Graphco will be walking printers through a series of live demonstrations featuring the latest technologies in finishing. Across 3 different booths in Hall 6, Graphco will participate in live demonstrations of die-cutting, perfect binding and trimming, slitting and creasing, folding, saddlestitching, and roll-fed print solutions.
