Tuesday 13. February 2024 - At the upcoming Anuga FoodTec 2024, the worldwide food and beverage industry hotspot, happening from 19th - 22nd March 2024, Coveris will present its sustainable packaging solutions, including its BarrierFresh MAP skillet, proven MonoFlex films and block bottom bag range.
Offering enhanced shelf-life and point-of-sale presentation, all these solutions answer the food market’s growing demand for environmentally friendly solutions.
“At Coveris we built our entire sustainability strategy around the vision of No Waste as we believe that fighting waste in all its forms is the driving force of a more sustainable future. Our packaging fits into this strategy well and offer the market what it has been looking for years -sustainable yet highly effective and protective solutions’, summarised Katja Killian, BU Flexibles Business Development Director from Coveris.
Enhanced product protection while boosting shelf appearance
The highlight of the show will be Coveris’ longest shelf-life sandwich packaging, BarrierFresh MAP skillets, which keep sandwiches fresher for longer by controlling pack atmosphere, supporting food waste reduction targets. With excellent product visibility, Coveris’ BarrierFresh MAP skillets deliver great branding opportunities and shelf-presentation whilst robustly protecting the product.
Visitors to Anuga FoodTec 2024 will also be able to see Coveris’ extended range of recyclable PE and PP MonoFlex films and laminates available in various formats and sizes. Providing a direct replacement for non-recyclable or difficult-to-recycle plastics, MonoFlex packaging has been developed to maintain product shelf-life, performance, functionality, and packing efficiency for a range of markets including fresh produce, meat, fish and poultry, dairy, ambient foods and bakery goods.
Last, but not least, 100% paper-based block bottom premade bags are an alternative solution for bakery, dried foods, confectionery, and snack brands which are looking for attractive shelf appearance while ensuring barrier protection against external factors.
