Filtrona Tapes to roll the tapes at two key exhibitions

Thursday 08. February 2024 - Later in the month on February 29th, Tapes Innovation Manager Darren Crowder will speak about Filtrona Tapes first-hand experience in developing a paper-based tear tape on the second and final morning of The Tape and Functional Film Expo (TFF Europe) at RAI Amsterdam.

Leading tear tape solutions provider Filtrona Tapes is set to showcase its sought-after product portfolio at two key packaging exhibitions this month.
The Filtrona Tapes team will decamp to Birmingham’s NEC on February 21st and 22nd to showcase its reimagined Supastrip Prism tear tape range, among a host of other packaging solutions, including Supastrip, RE:CLOSE and VakTape and it’s ECO Range at the UK’s flagship packaging exhibition, Packaging Innovations & Empack 2024.
Having recently reintroduced Supastrip Prism to the market to assist brands and their packaging suppliers in delivering on pack impact and security for a new age, this must-see product is designed to tear through various flexible packaging types, providing quick and easy access. Much like its Supastrip and Supastrip PCR counterparts, Prism can be applied to a range of products that use plastic or paper as the primary packaging across a wide range of FMCG applications, from food and pharmaceuticals to beverages and beauty categories.
“Supastrip Prism is for brand owners seeking to visualise their potential and help customers quickly identify their product or brand,” said Sarah Rutland, Market Development Manager at Filtrona Tapes. ”Likened to adding another layer of branding to your product, the Supastrip Prism collection combines the renowned easy opening credentials of Supastrip tear tape with the high impact of today’s hologram technology.
“Supastrip Prism can be customised with logos and colours matching a company’s branding, enabling consumers to instantly recognise a product at the point of sale, helping them make quick decisions about which brands they want and trust.”
The return to the Birmingham NEC comes one year after Rippatape Halo was crowned one of the UK’s most innovative packaging solutions at Packaging Innovations & Empack 2023, and the paper-based innovation has attracted the admiration of the industry over the past 12 months.
“Rippatape Halo is the result of over four years of intensive research and development, and it’s fantastic to see a product based on a single-ply, specialised coated paper with no plastic films or laminates, increasingly deployed across a range of industries,” said Rutland.
“Consumers continue to drive demand for a more sophisticated kind of sustainable packaging, and Rippatape Halo is a fantastic option for those looking to make recycling and re-using the original pack easier. It’s easy to see why interest has been so strong!”
