Wolf Verpackungsmaschinen GmbH presents model VPC-H 250 – equipped for the first time with the latest safety technology from Schmersal
The Schmersal Group and Wolf Verpackungsmaschinen GmbH will for the first time jointly present an innovative packaging machine for the food industry at the Hanover Fair 2023 in Hall 09, Stand D09: The VPC-H 250 form, fill and seal machine has been specially developed for the packaging of confectionery and is equipped with the latest safety technology from Schmersal.
Gentle on the product and efficient: Form fill and seal machine from Wolf
With the form, fill and seal machine, confectionery, cereals, snacks, frozen products and sticks can be packed in bags made of thermoplastic films and laminated films in bag widths from 50 mm up to 250 mm. A particular advantage of the VPC-H 250 is its performance: its low product drop height enables speeds of up to 200 pouches/min.
Up to 100 programs can be installed for the machine’s PLC control. All necessary production parameters can be regulated via a colour touch panel. The machine carries out the individual process steps – from the feeding of the wrapping material to the forming of the pouches and the sealing of the seams to the filling – in a way that is gentle on the product and with high precision. A photocell control system ensures the exact positioning of the printed wrapping materials. A further advantage is the convenient machine handling, which enables quick and easy format changes, for example.
Innovative and hygienic: safety technology from Schmersal
The AZM30 solenoid interlock was installed on the compact VPC-H 250 machine, which requires only a small footprint. Solenoid interlocks are used to monitor the position of safety guards and prevent the safety guard from opening until a hazardous machine function is no longer possible. Safety interlocks also ensure the safety of the operating personnel on the VPC-H 250.
The AZM300 RFID solenoid interlock is used in particular in the food and packaging industries due to its hygienic design and IP69 protection. The features of the AZM300 include the patented operating principle with rotary shaft and turnstile. It offers the advantage that the safety door is held closed with almost no play when closing. The RFID sensor provides a high level of protection against tampering in accordance with ISO 14119.
Emergency stop buttons and illuminated buttons of the new H-series from Schmersal are used at the man-machine interface. With the H-series, Schmersal presents a complete range of control and signalling devices for hygiene-sensitive applications – especially for food processing. The new H-range complies with the construction principle of “Hygienic Design” as well as with the requirements of the newly revised standard EN 1672-2 and the regulation 10/2011/EU.
