SCREEN celebrates milestone with 200th installation of the Truepress Jet L350UV Series
Friday 01. July 2022 - SCREEN has achieved a landmark in driving digital printing forward globally, with the sale of its 200th Truepress Jet L350 printer. The machine, a Truepress Jet L350UV SAI S, was sold to Hickman Label Company of Lebanon, Tennessee.
This innovative technology for printing labels was first unveiled in 2014, with the launch of the Truepress Jet L350UV, followed by later models the Truepress Jet L350UV+, Truepress Jet L350UV+LM, and the current Truepress Jet L350UV SAI S. The Truepress Jet L350UV SAI series offers greater stability, with printing speeds of up to 60 meters per minute. It allows for seven colours printheads units with the option for an additional functional ink.
Matt Dass, Joint Managing Director of UK-based Springfield Solutions – one of SCREENs largest and most influential label-print customers worldwide – commented on this milestone: “Since installing the worlds first L350 back in 2014, the following eight years has seen us invest in a further four L350 machines, including two LM L350 presses. During this time, SCREENs technology has helped Springfield double its digital print capacity.
“Our 30-year partnership with SCREEN is exactly that – a partnership. Learning, sharing and being honest with each other allows both organisations to succeed, innovate and grow. We are now working closely with the team to develop the next exciting chapter in the evolution of digital print.”
Yukiyoshi Tanaka, President of SCREEN Graphic Solutions Co., Ltd, commented: “The pandemic has made it even clearer that label printing is an essential business in peoples lives. Expectations for digital printing are increasing year by year. The need for non-contact, small workforce systems, and a shortage of intermediate materials due to supply chain-management disruption has led to a significant re-evaluation of the speed and efficiency of printing processes.
“The Truepress Jet L350UV SAI not only has all the features of digital printing, but also delivers ease of use and market-leading high uptime – thanks to superior stability in maintaining print quality, extensive after-sales support, and proactive service systems. We will continue to contribute to the development of this industry by responding to diverse customer needs, and provide optimal solutions to a market that is changing rapidly, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, environmental and other issues.”
