Enfocus announces update for BoardingPass
Wednesday 16. February 2022 - Enfocus, the leader in PDF quality control, PDF editing and workflow automation for the entire graphic arts industry, announces the release of a platform update for its popular BoardingPass software.BoardingPass enables account managers to instantly review PDF files for printing.
Integrated with an email client, BoardingPass identifies errors that require resubmission of the file and automatically drafts an email response. Customer service representatives thus have the ability to provide quick and understandable feedback on jobs without the need for pre-press. The latest version of the software now offers customers white overprint support and improved email communication.
The most important feature of the latest update is support for white overprinting, a common printing error that results in white objects or white text not being visible on a printed document.
white text on a printed document. In addition to protecting against errors, waste and press downtime, BoardingPass now detects this problem, alerts users and makes white objects or text visible.
Steven Nuyt, Head of Product at Enfocus, comments: “BoardingPass is the industry-leading PDF validation software for a reason. This will remain the case as we continue to innovate to meet our customers’ needs. Particularly problematic is white overprinting, which has long been a thorn in the side of printers. With the new update, this issue is resolved and users can fully validate PDF files with ease.”
Enfocus’ latest update also includes improvements to email communication. Users can now add email templates and use variables in email templates to communicate more efficiently with customers and prepress. The original content of the email is also taken into account when forwarding.
Steven Nuyt continued, “Operational efficiency is critical in our industry, and these new updates are designed to increase speed, accuracy and quality to ensure the right print the first time and meet that requirement.”
The updates to BoardingPass are available now for both existing and new customers.
