Esko continues to support future generations of professionals through collaboration with ESEPAC
Wednesday 13. October 2021 - New virtual reality room at leading packaging training institute in France uses latest Esko solutions. Packaging students from across Europe continue to benefit from the latest technology in their studies. Esko has reiterated its commitment to supporting packaging industry workers.
For many years, students at ESEPAC (Ecole Supérieure Européenne de Packaging) have used Esko solutions as part of their studies. The global developer of integrated software and hardware solutions for the packaging sector has provided the ArtiosCAD packaging design tools and the innovative 3D Store Visualizer to the college free of charge.
At the St Germain Laprade college, students can now make use of a newly installed 3D virtual reality room, also equipped with state-of-the-art solutions from Esko.
Françoise Coudert, Esko Solutions Architect, explained that the provision of the latest software and associated user licences will ensure that packaging technology students benefit from the latest state-of-the-art solutions from Esko. They will be given first-hand experience of the technology, which they will be able to use in the ‘real world’ when they graduate.
“I am proud to be able to work directly with the university and the students to provide them with training on packaging workflow,” said Françoise Coudert. “As the future of the industry will inevitably see further digitisation, automation and connectivity, Esko believes it is vital that tomorrow’s workforce is as educated and well prepared as possible before they start their careers.”
“We are constantly investing in the development of new digital technologies to simplify and streamline the packaging design and production process. As a company, we believe it is equally important to invest in the future of the people who will represent our industry of tomorrow. In this way, we have been supporting educational institutions around the world for a number of years, and we are pleased to continue this support with this latest collaboration with ESEPAC.”
ESEPAC celebrates its 30th anniversary next month. The new 3D virtual reality room will be unveiled to guests from across the industry at the event.
The packaging industry is continuously changing . In recent years, more and more distribution channels have been added and a greater use of digital technologies in the packaging sector as well as digital design tools could be observed,” said Serge German, Directeur of ESEPAC. “Esko has become a strong partner with regard to these developments and is very supportive in bringing our students closer to the necessary skills in using digital tools and the resulting opportunities.”
“We are proud and happy that Esko, as a leader in these technologies, is interested in ESEPAC and is making its knowledge and resources available to students who will soon be working themselves in companies that use or manufacture packaging,” Serge German continued. “We hope that this partnership will consolidate and expand in the future in order to provide our students with the best conditions for their professional future.”
Isabelle Manche, Directrice Générale France & Benelux at Esko, expressed her delight at the collaboration with ESEPAC. “With technological advances leading to changes in the sector, we believe it is extremely important for the industry to support the education and training of young people, both to address the skills shortage and to nurture and inspire the packaging professionals of the future,” explained Isabelle Manche.
“Our collaboration with ESEPAC and our commitment to students ensures that the new generation of packaging professionals are familiar with the latest Esko solutions used to control packaging and printing processes worldwide. This really prepares them well and gives them the skills they need to enter the industry.”
ESEPAC’s 30th anniversary celebration will take place on 22 October.
