AWAVirtual Label Release Liner Industry Seminar
Tuesday 21. September 2021 - Presentations, panel discussions, and Q&A will provide up-to-date insights on the transformation of the Release Liner sector, with up-to-date information on growth drivers, technical advancements, and applications, as well as recyclability and sustainability.
AWA Alexander Watson Associates will host the 14th edition of the AWAVirtual Label Release Liner Industry Seminar on 21st September, a well-established event for the Release Liner Value Chain.
The seminar, which welcomed over 500 attendees on its last edition, will be available upon free registration on AWAVirtual – AWA’s Virtual Events Platform launched in 2020.
Label Release Liner Sector
The Label Release Liner Sector experienced the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic and raw materials price increase, resulting in shortages along the supply chain. The Seminar will provide detailed information on segments, applications, substrates, and growth trends and pitfalls.
Corey Reardon, AWA’s President & CEO, will open the seminar with an overview on Release Liner Market for Pressure-Sensitive Labeling, followed by Anum Javed Beg, AWA’s Market Research Manager, illustrating the sector’s growth and competing technologies.
Mark Miller, Founder of Coating Tech Slot Dies, will moderate the Panel Discussion Silicone & Coating Trends with Davis-Standard, Elkem Silicones, Evonik, Dow.
Maxime Bayzelon, President, ETI Converting Equipment, will present on Free Radical Silicone, followed by Earl Curran, Vice President Business Development, Acucote, on Pattern Adhesive Coating Applications.
The second part of the seminar, introduced by Corey Reardon, will focus on Sustainability and Release Liner Recycling, with Kevin Clunie, Vice President Sales & Marketing, Mactac North America, and vice president of CELAB’s North America providing an overview on the Consortium’s activities.
Following, Alex Knott, Senior TS&D Scientist, DOW, will provide a White Paper with Technical Considerations, and Stefan Schoenberger, Head of Product Sustainability, Mondi, will summarize Mondi’s sustainability strategy and process and how to help customers reach their sustainability goals.
Niels Christian Schou, Director, Marketing Excellence for Label & Graphic Materials, Europe, Avery Dennison, will focus on Recycling liners in Europe.
Finally, Tina Hart, Vice President Strategic Innovation Platform – Material Circularity Label and Graphics Materials Worldwide, Avery Dennison, will lead the Round Table “Recycling Challenges and Solutions” with UPM Raflatac, Sustana Fiber, and Circular Polymers.
