Industry relies on leading trade fair: interpack 2023 already 85 per cent booked up
Tuesday 24. August 2021 - Simply Unique the new brand claim. Actually, the registration window for the next interpack, which will take place from 4 to 10 May 2023 at the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre, would not have opened until autumn of this year.
However, due to the pandemic-related cancellation of interpack 2020, which was initially postponed to spring 2021 and finally cancelled, the companies that had already registered had the opportunity this time to re-book for the coming interpack – which was used intensively. Together with the new registrations from companies, the planned capacity utilisation in mid-August 2021 is thus 85 percent.
“We are downright thrilled with the response from our customers. We keep hearing that they can hardly wait for interpack to finally take place again – and as a presence trade fair with personal encounters,” reports Thomas Dohse, Project Director of interpack. According to feedback from the industry, the pandemic has shown that while digital alternatives can be a supplement with added value, face-to-face encounters at a physical trade fair make an irreplaceable contribution to generating new contacts and building trust, which is enormously important. In addition, many companies exhibit technically complex machines and systems at interpack, which require correspondingly high levels of explanation and can often even be inspected in operation by potential customers at interpack. They also benefit from the opportunity to directly compare solutions from different suppliers.
For 2023, interpack is also pursuing its claim as the leading international trade fair for the packaging sector and the related process industry and is underlining this with the new brand claim “Simply Unique”, which has been shaping the appearance since recently. “The uniqueness of interpack is primarily characterised by the unique variety of products and services offered by our exhibitors – but it is rounded off by our special themes, which pick up on trends of the coming years. For 2023, sustainability in all its facets will be even more influential than in previous years, so we will tackle this complex of topics in cooperation with our partners. In addition to the formative presence offerings, there will also be digital offerings,” says Thomas Dohse.
In the past, the interpack special themes have always attracted a lot of attention, for example SAVE FOOD, which aims to reduce food losses, or the concept of the innovationparc, which shows clever solutions and approaches to certain problems and is now established at other international trade fairs of the interpack alliance. The details of individual special topics as well as additional digital offerings at interpack 2023 will be announced in the course of the coming year.
Interested companies can continue to register for interpack 2023 at www.interpack.de. This is a platform for complete value chains. This includes processes and machines for the packaging and processing of packaged goods, as well as packaging materials, packaging supplies and the production of packaging materials, and services for the packaging industry.
Registrations for the components subcontracting fair, which is being held at the same time, are still possible.
