ICScolor to Feature Digital Color Proofing at FTA FORUM 2021
Monday 10. May 2021 - ICScolor, Inc., announces their participation at the FTA FORUM 2021. For more than 60 years, the Flexographic Technical Association (FTA) has organized FORUM as a technical and educational conference built around the topics most important to flexographers.
On May 12, 2021, Dan Caldwell, President of ICScolor, Inc. will present “Getting Color Right
in a COVID World”. His presentation in the advanced color theory seminar track will explore how digital color proofing is replacing analog hard copy proofs and eliminating a significant break in a fully digital color workflow.
“We recognize the important role of the FTA and the critical role of flexographic printing in the packaging industry,” states Dan Caldwell, President of ICScolor, Inc. “The current COVID climate has challenged Consumer Product Companies (CPCs), agencies, graphic service providers and printers/converters to manage color critical work. We will explain how digital color proofing has revolutionized color critical proofing by eliminating all the inefficiencies of analog hard copy proofs.”
“ICScolor is a world leader in digital color proofing, having brought to market the first certified color accurate, display-based, proofing system,” states Vicki Blake, VP Business Development, ICScolor, Inc. “While the proof of concept has long been established by multiple patents and acknowledgement as a GATF Inter Tech Award winner, the market penetration of remote digital color proofing is being accelerated recently and we are finally seeing the wide range acceptance just like other technologies have experienced over the years. In a world where brand owners, print buyers, and print manufacturers are collaborating in a remote work environment, Remote Director saves everyone significant time and money via the creation of color-accurate online proofs to share with anyone, anywhere.”
FTAs annual events, FORUM & INFOFLEX 2021, were previously scheduled as hybrid eventsboth in-person and virtual. However, due to COVID restrictions, they will now take place solely in a virtual environment. To facilitate the virtual nature of this years version of FORUM, the nine technical sessions will be divided up over the dates of May 11-14 and May 18-21, 2021.
