Connect with Esko at FESPA 2020

Friday 21. February 2020 - Esko will present its latest solutions to the digital and halftone printing industry at this years Global Print Expo in Madrid. The global developer of integrated software and hardware solutions will be showcasing its new and award-winning innovations during the four-day event next month at the worlds largest international print exhibition.

Jan De Roeck, Esko Director of Marketing, Industry Relations & Strategy “This is an extremely exciting show for us,” says Jan De Roeck, Director of Marketing, Industry Relations & Strategy. “With over 18,000 print professionals attending over the four days, FESPA 2020 is the ideal opportunity to connect with converters and highlight how Esko can help them on their path to digital transformation.
“At our booth, we will present our recently introduced software solutions ArtiosCAD Preflight and Share & Approve, which increase productivity in the printing process and reduce waste. We will also show how these individual solutions can be combined to achieve new levels of efficiency as part of a connected digital ecosystem.
With unmatched performance in CAD design for packaging and displays, ArtiosCAD Preflight for the industry’s leading structural design software increases efficiency by saving users up to 15 minutes per design, eliminating the need for manual checks and standardizing checks across a user group. “ArtiosCAD Preflight provides quality assurance at the touch of a button, automatically analyzes structural design files and highlights quality issues to prevent errors later and save time for fabricators,” explains De Roeck. “We will demonstrate how the software alerts designers to potential design problems before the file is released for costing or production to ensure greater uptime and efficiency.” ArtiosCAD Preflight – Computer
The brand new and unique Share & Approve approval software, which runs as a service in the Esko Cloud, will also be presented at FESPA. “With Share & Approve, anyone in the workflow can upload, share, comment and approve jobs in 2D and hyper-realistic 3D,” explains De Roeck. “The ability to record, store and send feedback in a single, centralized online tool provides new clarity to the process, reduces the number of approval passes and shortens the time required to get a job approved. This allows brands and their supply chains to work more efficiently and reduce time to market.
Esko will also focus on its Automation Engine workflow server, which automates print production tasks and integrates business systems, speeding up the production process by reducing errors and the need for user intervention. “Our latest solution, Automation Engine Cloud Connector, further extends the functionality of the software by connecting to the Esko cloud,” adds De Roeck. “This opens up a whole new world of possibilities, such as securely moving jobs from one production line to another. This applies not only to the design files, but to entire production folders.”
Kongsberg X EdgeDe Roeck adds that the presentation of the Esko ecosystem is completed by the new and extensively expandable Kongsberg X Edge digital finishing system. With the ability to run at speeds of 30m/min with 0.3G acceleration and the ability to process the full range of display, sign and packaging materials, from vinyl film cutting to strong material milling and every task in between, the new X Edge offers the perfect combination of productivity, flexibility and the best reliability in its class.
“The Kongsberg X Edge means you no longer have to compromise and choose between speed, precision or production performance,” he adds. “We look forward to showing visitors to FESPA 2020 how the system can be combined with Esko solutions to promote performance and efficiency”.
