Zünd underscores leading role in digital Finishing
Tuesday 28. June 2016 - Zünd looks back on a highly successful Drupa 2016, which closed its doors on June 10 after an amazing 11 days and estimated 260,000 visitors. Zünd's theme was "Double your productivity", and the Swiss cutting manufacturer's exhibit in Düsseldorf showed the many ways in which the latest Zünd cutting technologies make digital cutting & finishing more productive and profitable than ever.
The world premiere of Zünd’s D3 cutter was a great success. The dual-beam cutting system, geared for ultrahigh performance, is designed to make digital finishing on an industrial scale more flexible and more productive than ever. With the new Zünd D3, print and packaging suppliers have the ability to effectively double their throughput.
Drupa visitors also showed a great deal of interest in Zünd’s innovative automation solutions, including the collaborative robot for automated off-loading/stacking and the Automatic Router bit Changer – ARC. The variety of smart technology and cutting-edge solutions presented at the Zünd booth consistently drew large crowds, with realistic demonstrations and samples illustrating just how versatile Zünd modular cutting systems are and how easily they can be configured for various production scenarios.
“At Drupa 2016 Zünd entered a new frontier in high-volume, fully automated digital finishing. We were exceedingly pleased with the attendance in terms of number, quality, and diversity of visitors from all over the world. Many attendees came prepared and knew exactly what they wanted to see at our booth. We received numerous compliments on the coherent and realistic presentation of our cutting systems and workflows – something we are particularly proud of”, commented Stefan Lang, Head of Sales & Marketing.
