First Gallus digital printing theme day
Wednesday 09. March 2016 - Gallus invited customers to the first "Digital theme day" in Frankfurt am Main on 18 February. Karl-Gerhard Amerongen, Gallus Head of Digital Sales Europe, welcomed guests from the label printing sector who had come along to examine digital printing more closely and find out about further developments in this area.
In Mark Hanley, a top expert in this field, Gallus had secured a speaker who gave an impressive, in-depth account of the steady upward trend in digital developments in label printing and packaging. He focused on changes due to digitalisation that will occur in all industrialised countries in the future, and the resulting transformation of the label markets.
In a case study, Thilo Heizenröther and Christoph Muhr from StieberDruck GmbH of Lauda-Königshofen explained how new areas of business can be opened up using existing digital printing know-how. This was followed by Axel Hartmann from UPM Raflatac, who explained the challenges that substrate manufacturers need to overcome with regard to the various digital printing processes and described the offerings available to customers.
Within this event Gallus supports its orientation “Success and security for the labelprinter”, accompanying its customers continuously in their business activities and gives them support, even with the help of independent external specialists.
