Remous opts for technotrans precision with H-UV press
Tuesday 10. February 2015 - West country family printer Remous has enlisted technnotrans peripherals' know-how to ensure it makes the most of the advantages it anticipates with the five-colour Komori H-UV B2 low energy press it has installed at its Sherbourne plant.
Technotrans was recommended by Komori and, having had good experience with the Colchester-based peripherals provider in the past, Remous had no hesitation in taking on water treatment (alpha.r3) and temperature control (alpha.c) to keep its dampening solution and ink tack just right for optimum quality and efficiency.
“As an established Komori customer we were told about four years ago about the H-UV technology but at that stage it was not available in the UK but we were keen to be an early adopter. Already we have benefited from the quality of output, the ability to work and turn print with no delay and the reduction in energy, with the obvious cost and sustainability wins that go with that,” says Alan Bunter, director and second generation representative of the family firm.
“However, you need everything set up right to get the full benefit from this technology so it made sense for us to use the technotrans kit and they have helped us reduce waste in the process. We are using less paper, chemistry and ink as a result.”
Remous had used technotrans filtration and circulators before. The company on the Somerset-Dorset border prides itself on providing comprehensive services from design, litho and digital printing, finishing including mailing right through to warehouse and distribution.
