Roland DG Central Europe officially opens new offices and Creative Center

Tuesday 20. January 2015 - Roland DG Central Europe opened its new premises in Geel (Belgium) officially on January 8. The opening ceremony was officiated by Dave Goward, Director at Roland DG Corp. and Eli Keersmaekers, CEO of Roland DG EMEA.

Gregory Bilsen, President Roland DG Central Europe with headquarters in Belgium, said: “We are very proud to finally open our new premises officially and we thank Dave and Eli for attending our event. We have created a working environment that reflects our image as an innovative and creative market leader. Moreover, we have paid significant attention to the needs and wants of both our staff and visitors. The result is a modern design with a great deal of glass and wood elements as well as colour accents.”
Keep on growing
The reason for the move was clear. “In recent years, Roland DG Central Europe has gone through quite a growth spurt. In order to be able to continue this growth and to prepare for the future, we decided to move to a larger building located several kilometres from the old location in Oevel. The new building – just like the old one – is located along the E313, an important traffic artery in Belgium. It is important that we are easily accessible to our customers, partners and staff,” explains Gregory Bilsen.
Creative, inspiring and comfortable
The Creative Center has become a real work of art. “We wanted to create an inspirational space which could accommodate the versatile range of Roland machines. In the middle of the room, we created ‘moods’ for different markets. We now show applications for the automotive, sports, interior decoration and retail market but we will change the setting and applications on a regular basis. The aim is to inspire visitors, to show them what they can do with a Roland and, since the range of applications is in fact unlimited, we will use our own creativity to keep on showing new things to our visitors.”
Roland Academy
The new building has a spacious training area, where the Roland DG Academy training courses are organized. “We will continue to expand our training offerings for the end customers and the dealers, so that people can continue to learn about their machine and its application possibilities at regular intervals.”
30th anniversary
The opening of the new premises coincided with the celebration of the company’s 30th anniversary. “Our company was founded in 1985 and was the first subsidiary of Roland DG Corporation. Since our foundation, we have grown year after year. We are confident that 2015 will be another successful year for us and we look forward to helping our customers transform their imagination into reality'” concludes Gregory Bilsen.
