SHIMA SEIKI to Exhibit at OTM 2014
Wednesday 08. October 2014 - Leading Japanese computerized flat knitting machine manufacturer SHIMA SEIKI MFG., LTD. will exhibit at the upcoming OTM 2014 Middle East Textile Machinery Exhibition in Gaziantep, Turkey in October. This is in the wake of its highly suc- cessful participation in a private show held by its Turkish sales distributor TETAS IC VE DIS TICARET A.S. at its showroom earlier in September.
On display will be two models of SHIMA SEIKI’s new SVR series computerized flat knitting machine, in 5G coarse gauge and 14G fine gauge applications. The SVR is a workhorse machine that becomes the new industry standard with the latest in computerized flat knitting technology. With SVR, SHIMA SEIKI establishes a new benchmark for shaped knitting in the tradition of the company’s legendary SES and SSG machines.
Demonstrations will be performed on the SDS-ONE APEX3 design system that is at the core of the company’s “Total Knitting System” concept. With comprehensive support of the knit supply chain, APEX3 integrates knit production into one smooth and efficient workflow from planning and design to machine programming, production and even sales pro- motion. Photo-realistic simulation capability allows Virtual Sampling to minimize the need for actual sample-making, effec- tively reducing time, material and cost while increasing presentation quality in the sampling process. Products can be checked using 3D simulation as well, such as 3D modeling, 3D fitting and 3D mapping. APEX3 also supports design and simulation in a variety of other industries such as circular knitting, weaving, pile weaving and printing.
