Screen USA Offers Ink Cost Simulator So Estimators Can Accurately Predict Ink Usage

Thursday 11. September 2014 - Ink usage varies from print job to print job. Figuring out how much to charge print buyers for the overall print cost, including ink consumption, is a task that a unique automated tool from Screen USA can help accomplish.

At Labelexpo Americas 2014, Screen will demonstrate how its Ink Cost Simulator removes the guesswork from estimating ink consumption cost for jobs printed on the Truepress Jet L350UV inkjet label press and other Screen high-speed inkjet presses.
Screen developed the software-driven pricing tool for printing companies that operate the Truepress Jet L350UV, Truepress JetSX, Truepress Jet520 and Truepress Jet520ZZ inkjet presses. This versatile program enables Truepress users to preserve their profit margins and eliminate risk. It also allows for predictive management of ink inventories.
Working from customer-supplied files, the Ink Cost Simulator simulates ink consumption based on the number of document pages, run length and resolution. The Ink Cost Simulator calculates ink costs per piece or per impression. It is compatible with most ICC color profiles, color management and printing conditions.
The turnkey, easy-to-use system includes all software, hardware and one year of telephone support. It runs offline without tying up presstime.
