Treofan realigns its organization even more closely to customer needs

Thursday 22. May 2014 - Effective immediately, BOPP film manufacturer Treofan will manage its operational business through four global business units, each aligned to a specific customer segment. This means the company is consolidating all of its activities in the fields of self-adhesive labels, wrap-around labels and in-mold labels into a new Labels business unit. Similarly, all of Treofan's packaging activities will be consolidated into the Packaging business unit.

“The many conversations we had at the Interpack trade fair confirmed, once more, that brand owners and converters want central global points of contact,” explains CEO Peter Vanacker. “Our new organizational structure is in response to this wish, and also reflects the different processes that labels and packaging entail. It will make our collaboration with partners in areas such as innovation and customer service even more effective.”
Oliver Bruns, previously responsible for IML, is taking the reins of the Packaging business unit, while former head of corporate development Dr. Joachim Dohm will head the Labels business unit. The two new business units complement Treofan’s two existing ones: Tobacco, led by Nico Schoeman, and Electronics, headed by Mark Neville.
The completion of Treofan’s business unit restructuring renders the Commercial Operations coordination function, required temporarily during the transition, superfluous. Yvo van Vliet, who was responsible for this function as EVP, will thus be leaving the company by mutual consent. Says Peter Vanacker: “I would like to thank Yvo for his great reconstruction work – the basis on which we have now been able to reorganise our business units entirely around our customers’ needs.”
