How to Attract Attention with Moving Signs
Tuesday 29. April 2014 - If you watched last night's episode of ABC's Shark Tank, you would have seen signs and graphics dancing, waving and attracting attention.
On the show, entrepreneur Scott Adams, founder and president of Velocity Signs, pitched a sign waving machine that replaces the human sign spinner while creating excitement and driving traffic to a business, organization or event. His innovative device gained interest from three sharks on the show and was awarded $225,000 for a 30% interest in his business. Congratulations, Scott!
The sign waving device is designed to attract attention for a business or a brand, and help increase the audience seeing their message. Whether it’s directing people to a local event, announcing a grand opening or promoting a special offer, the moving signs enforce the message and get attention from people or drivers passing by. These signs could also be used to get a message out to people walking by – in a mall, a private parking lot or on a campus.
The Sign Waving device featured on the show can operate 24/7 on either rechargeable batteries or AC power. With a dolly and handle included, it’s portable, durable and easy to maneuver. There are even options to add lights or a life-like mannequin to enhance the sign.
For example, if a restaurant wanted to promote their convenient drive-thru breakfast to passers-by during the morning commute, they could use a sign waving machine to direct attention to the location and feature their breakfast special with bold text and graphics. If a new business owner wanted to create excitement about his anticipated opening, he could place an “Opening Soon” sign on a sign waving device and when they open, change the moving graphics to read “Now Open”.

The sign waving machine is just one way to gain attention and communicate with potential and current customers. As marketing messages and campaigns change, it’s important to have the right medium and visual graphics to get noticed in the marketplace. Need help? Let us know….
