Get three out of two
The main challenge of this project is to upgrade the existing press that is equipped with 12 towers in H-construction, 12 reel splicers and 2 folders to a 3 section press. To realize this, an additional folder will be integrated to the press and there will be a comprehensive modification of the web lead within the press. “For GWS, manroland web systems is the ideal partner for this project as the press manufacturer takes over the complete construction as well as the recommissioning”, Walter Donkers from GWS printing systems explains. The new configuration of the press also brings up basic actions that are necessary due to the conditions in Peru. First of all, the different net frequency that requires an upgrade to 60Hz. The additional folder also gets an advanced upgrade.
