ACCO Brands Wins Prestigious GOOD DESIGN(TM) Award
Monday 24. February 2014 - ACCO Brands Corporation has taken top honors in the annual GOOD DESIGN competition sponsored by the Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design, and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies. Through innovative technology and groundbreaking designs, ACCO Brands was awarded 2013 GOOD DESIGN Awards for the SwinglineGBC Fusion (TM) Laminator line, Kensington Carpal Tunnel Wrist Rest and the Swingline Stack-and-Shred (TM) family of shredders.
The GOOD DESIGN Award was founded in Chicago in 1950 and remains the oldest honor for design excellence, along with being the most recognized program worldwide. Each year, members of both sponsoring organizations meet to bestow GOOD DESIGN Awards upon companies and products who have achieved design excellence. This year, entries came from 48 countries and ACCO Brands was chosen out of several thousand entrants that are among the world’s leading manufacturers and industrial/graphic design firms, to win one of these coveted awards.
“We are honored to receive this esteemed award and as a leader in the office products industry we are consistently focused on creating products that make it easier for people to achieve their goals,” said Jed Peters, Vice President of Global Marketing and Product Development.
All of ACCO Brands’ honored products will be a part of an exhibition opening on June 6, 2014 that will be housed at Contemporary Space Athens, in Greece. The “Good Design: Leisure and Lifestyle” exhibit will be open through August 10, 2014 and will travel around Europe later in the year.
