Joe Murphy Joins Presteligence as software support specialist

Monday 16. December 2013 - Presteligence, an industry leading software developer and innovator, has named Joe Murphy as Software Support Specialist. In this role, Murphy holds a number of responsibilities critical to the success of Presteligence.

Murphy will focus on Gannett’s prepress consolidation project as they deploy NewsXtreme Enterprise to the remainder of their print sites. This includes the NewsXtreme Portal which allows newspapers’ commercial clients to upload pages for production. Murphy will also assist with ongoing support to more than 100 workflow customers for prepress workflow, ink presetting, ink optimization and Blackmagic color calibrated proofing.

Murphy has more than 24 years experience in the newspaper industry. He served as Prepress Manager for Asbury Park Press. He was responsible for the page layout, ad building, ad tracking, and classified pagination of eight daily newspapers and numerous other specialty publications. In this role, Murphy developed in-depth knowledge of prepress operations and at one point managed more than 100 people in his department.
Prior to his promotion to prepress manager, he worked as a production system analyst and hardware technician.
