LFP - Large-Format-Printing
“Viscom was the ideal platform to exhibit new printers”
Monday 25. November 2013 - At Viscom Düsseldorf, Roland DG showed its new printers to the large German crowd in attendance. Both machines were assured of the interested attention of the trade show visitors, and both were received positively. The new ink colour (light black) and its superb versatility seemed to be the most important show-stealers of the VersaCAMM VS-i. The new VersaUV LEF-20 was appealing primarily due to its speed and beautiful print quality on objects such as iPhone covers, pens, packaging prototypes and other items up to 10cm high.
Kathrin Schwarz, Sales Manager for the DACH region looks back on the show: “For us, Viscom was the ideal platform to show our newest machines. A great deal of the visitors to our stand came specifically for the demonstrations of the new VS-i and LEF-20. Although a great deal of attention was also paid to our SOLJET PRO4 series of production printers. These machines once again affirmed their immense value to the sign market. The SOLJET PRO4 XR-640 is our flagship, because it is the most versatile and the fastest printer/cutter in our range. The XF-640 is, of course, also very special, because it is our fastest printer ever. It has no cutting function but is ideal for the production of quality prints, such as posters, banners, vehicle wraps and window stickers, at high speeds.”
UV printer for plates
Roland DG also demonstrated a special model of the LEJ-640 LED-UV printer. “The LEJ-640F is a flatbed UV printer that prints on plates up to 15 cm high. The machine is available in three models with a maximum printing area of 1.6 by 3.3 m. Just as with our other UV printers, this LEJ-640F can be used with white and transparent ink to produce prints with striking finishes. The results on transparent and dark-coloured plates are very impressive,” says Kathrin Schwarz.
World-class technical support
Many Roland DG dealers attended Viscom with their own stands. But the dealers were also given the royal treatment at the Roland stand. Kathrin Schwarz: “We wanted to thank our dealers for their dedication and loyalty. They devote themselves daily to the sales of our machines and to the provision of excellent technical support. This was once again made clear during the Technicians’ World Championship that was recently held in Japan. There, two technicians from our region captured the first- and third-place awards. I would like to here, once again, extend an extra congratulations to our German dealer, Technoplot, and to our Belgian dealer, Pantoon, for their sterling performances.”
