Bill Albrecht Named President and Publisher of Argus Leader Media in Sioux Falls, SD
Tuesday 05. November 2013 - Gannett Co., Inc. (NYSE: GCI) announced today Bill Albrecht has been named president and publisher of Argus Leader Media in Sioux Falls, SD. Albrecht had been president of Gannett's Media Network of Central Ohio and president and publisher of Newark (OH) Advocate Media.
Albrecht is returning to the Argus Leader where he was advertising director for three years and worked with local businesses to help solve their marketing needs. In 2001, he was promoted to president and publisher of the St. Cloud (MN) Times. Albrecht was named president of the Media Network of Central Ohio and president and publisher of Newark Advocate Media in 2010.

Prior to joining Gannett, Albrecht held executive positions with the Duluth (MN) News-Tribune and The Cedar Rapids (IA) Gazette. He has also worked for The Dubuque (IA) Telegraph Herald, Madison (WI) Newspapers, Inc., and Harlan (IA) Newspapers.
Albrecht graduated from the University of South Dakota, which he attended on a football scholarship. He is married and has two sons.
