NEW AVERY DENNISON ADHESIVE IMPROVES SILICONE LABELLING
Friday 11. October 2013 - S8092 - a new adhesive from Avery Dennison - is giving automotive and other manufacturers dramatically improved performance when labelling silicone-coated materials or materials with contaminated surfaces. The new S8092 adhesive addresses two longstanding challenges encountered in the labelling industrial parts - how to convert reliably and how to make the finished label stay on a surface throughout a product's lifecycle.
“There has never been an entirely satisfactory solution to labelling these very demanding surfaces until now,” says Hans Eichenwald, senior product manager, Avery Dennison Label and Packaging Materials – Europe. “Our new adhesive puts an end to labels peeling during and after manufacture, which cuts product returns dramatically. It also solves existing production problems with conventional solutions, such as excessive adhesive bleed during conversion that causes TT printing issues.”
The new S8092 adhesive is silicone-based, which ensures labels adhere securely to siliconised surfaces without errors in WIP tracking
