Software602 selects pdfaPilot technology from callas software
Wednesday 09. October 2013 - Support for PDF/A handled by pdfaPilot in the PDF creation solution from Czech software vendor Software 602
callas software GmbH, a vendor of powerful PDF technology for publishing and archiving, has been selected as business partner by Software602, an important software vendor in the Czech Republic. Software602 uses callas pdfaPilot to materialize its concept ADF (Authorized Document Format) for ensuring long term legibility, integrity and authenticity of important documents, in compliance with ISO and ETSI standards required by the European legislation. Software602 solutions have been implemented in solutions for the Czech government, for the provider of pipelines CEPRO and for other key clients in both government and commercial sector.
As in Germany, PDF/A is very well established in the Czech Republic. Many companies and official authorities integrate it in their archival process, although no legal requirements exist that would enforce the use of this format. “We are recommending PDF/A to our customers since the standard has been published by ISO” says Dr. Petr Hampl, Consultant at Software602. “With the integration of pdfaPilot into our software Print2PDF X our customers can convert their documents into the reliable archive format in an easy and at the same time secure way.” Print2PDF X is running on a server in the background and provides a printer driver to connected clients via the network. No additional software needs to be installed on the clients. It is also possible to watch folders or e-mail accounts securing all incoming files and converting them into PDF or PDF/A.
Dietrich von Seggern, Business Development Manager at callas software says: “We are very pleased that an additional software vendor for document processing supports PDF/A and that Software602 has selected our technology to do so. As Software602 plays an important role in the Czech Republic we are convinced that the company is the right partner to further establish the various use cases of PDF/A in their country.”
