Printing Association of Florida Celebrates 26th Annual Florida Print Awards at Special Reception and Banquet

Tuesday 06. August 2013 - Two Florida companies received a "Benny" Award at the National Level

On July 26, the Printing Association of Florida proudly recognized 34 of Florida’s top printing and graphic communications firms who collectively submitted an astounding 351 entries, for a chance to receive a prestigious Florida Print Award trophy. In addition, 11 schools participated, with a total of 205 entries submitted. Winners are honored at the annual Florida Print Awards banquet and reception held during the three-day Print Management Conference at Disney’s Swan Resort.
Two Florida companies received a “Benny” Award at the national level; and a total of 50 Florida projects submitted by 17 companies were recognized in Printing Industries of America’s Premier Print Awards competition. The “Benny”, a bronze statuette of Benjamin Franklin, is awarded to the most outstanding entry in each category. Those companies are: Designers’ Press and Franklin-Dodd Communications.
The Florida Print Awards promotes excellence in the industry by recognizing individuals, companies, and organizations producing the very best in print media. All winning entries are displayed during the Print Management Conference at the Hall of Winners showcase. Winners are also published in the Florida Print Awards Winners Booklet, and in PAF’s Graphics Update magazine. The competition is open exclusively to PAF members.
“Each year Florida’s printers and graphic communications firms up the ante with their print awards submissions,” says George Ryan, CEO and President of the Printing Association of Florida, an affiliate of Printing Industries of America. “The judges love the challenge of picking the best of the best, since each submission received is the highest caliber and quality in the industry. This is always an exciting event with much talent being celebrated.”
