Epson Supports the Best of Croatian Press Photography

Wednesday 24. July 2013 - The Croatian Press Photographers Association (CPPA) has for ten years organized an annual exhibition showcasing the best work from photographers working with media outlets in Croatia and abroad. Epson has supported the exhibition since 2010 by providing printouts from its state-of-the-art photo printers using high quality inks and paper.

This year’s exhibition premiered April 12 at the renowned Klovicevi dvori gallery in Zagreb. A total of 109 40 by 50 cm photographs were printed in both black and white and color. In addition to outstanding print quality, the prints had to be durable enough to withstand transportation to ten cities in four different countries.
Visiting the European Union capital
The high point of the 2013 tour was a July 1 exhibition in Brussels coinciding with Croatia’s entry to the European Union.
“The Croatian Press Photographers Association initiated the Croatia Press Photo project ten years ago to promote excellence in photojournalism and provide the general public with an insightful and entertaining exhibition. We searched for partners who also saw the importance of this project and could bring extra value to the final product,” said Igor Nobilo, president, CPPA. “When considering quality and durability, Epson printing solutions were a logical choice.”
“Croatian photojournalists and our photographs benefit greatly from the excellent presentation of our works provided by Epson printers and supplies. The entire cooperation with Epson representatives has been smooth and full of understanding for our needs, which has helped us achieve our goals more easily. In return, many of our professional colleagues have been able to see first-hand the Epson quality and choose Epson products for their printing purposes.”
The best for the best
The Croatian Press Photo project is modelled upon World Press Photo, and is composed of a contest for professional photojournalists, a travelling exhibition of 100 best works and an annual book.
“We’re very proud to support CPPA for a third consecutive year, providing high output quality to the needs of the professional photographers. Thanks to our own proprietary Micro Piezo printing technology we’re capable of achieving magnificent photo detail,” said Renato Vincenti, Epson’s Channel Development Manager for International Territories. “Our technology in combination with our pigment inks also offers immediate color stability and long-lasting color resistance even at high levels of humidity.”
The Croatian Press Photo 2012 exhibition visits ten cities in four countries: Croatia, Serbia, Austria and Belgium.
