The Washington Post Company To Acquire Forney Corporation
Monday 22. July 2013 - The Washington Post Company (NYSE:WPO) today announced it has signed an agreement to acquire Forney Corporation, a global supplier of products and systems that control and monitor combustion processes in electric utility and industrial applications.
The deal is expected to close in early August. A leader in power plant and industrial systems around the world, Forney is part of UTC Climate, Controls & Security, a unit of United Technologies Corp. Tom Demrick, general manager, Forney Corporation, and the Forney management team will continue to run the business. The purchase price was not disclosed.
