Heidelberg reveals plans for Polar “N”try level machine

Thursday 18. July 2013 - From this autumn Heidelberg UK will add a new variant to its leading Polar 115 series. The new Polar N 115 is designed to appeal to packaging companies with straightforward board cutting needs and commercial companies with a limited product range and a more basic cutting requirement. The basic N version will be added to the successful N Plus and N Pro versions.

The N version in this most popular 115cm width still features formica air tables and has a programming capability customised to suit the target market. Crucially the N 115 will come to market priced attractively below the Polar N 115 Plus model.
“This budget-conscious machine will fulfil the needs of companies requiring a limited range of cuts with little need for automation but it retains the core features of the Plus range including the18.5in touchscreen. So for buyers that do not need extensive storage and programming features or all the proven options of the higher specified models it is going to be a very productive machine, especially in conjunction with materials handling peripherals,” says Paul Thompson, Heidelberg UK’s product manager for Polar in the UK.
Because the Polar N 115 is a standard manufacture machines will be held in stock at Hofheim so lead times will be very short, making it an attractive package.
