Supervisory Board assigns new Axel Springer CFO: Dr. Julian Deutz succeeds Lothar Lanz

Wednesday 03. July 2013 - The Supervisory Board of Axel Springer AG has appointed Dr. Julian Deutz, 45, to the Executive Board, effective as of January 1, 2014. In April 2014, he will succeed CFO Lothar Lanz, 64. Lothar Lanz is planned to become a member of the Supervisory Board at the same time. A corresponding proposal shall be made to the Annual Shareholders' Meeting 2014.

Lothar Lanz is a member of the Executive Board since May 2009, after having held the same position at ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG.
Dr. Julian Deutz has been Head of Group Controlling since October 2010. He is also responsible for Corporate Development, Axel Springer Services & Real Estate as well as the Insurance Provider VVDG, after having held a number of different management functions within Axel Springer.
