Our Hero: FASTSIGNS Manager in OKC Takes Fast Action

Tuesday 11. June 2013 - We are so incredibly relieved and thankful to be able to say that all of our FASTSIGNS family in Oklahoma is safe and accounted for. In reaching out to check on everyone, we were told a story that makes us proud of the type of people who we get to say are a part of our family.

Jerry Mullins, Installation Manager for the FASTSIGNS centers in the Oklahoma City area, was caught in one of the storms. While it physically moved his truck and tore up the gas station cover he used as shelter, Jerry made it through safely. Later, making his way home, he noticed a gentleman trapped in his vehicle that was being swept away in flash flood waters. Using rope from his truck, Jerry waded through the water close enough to throw it to the gentleman, who was able to tie it around his waist. Along with an anonymous stranger, Jerry pulled the trapped motorist to safety. Once he was rescued, Jerry was able to help the gentleman get dry and take him to his family.
Jerry, we are so glad that you are ok. And, in our books… you are a hero!
