ROB CRAVARITIS NAMED EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT OF SALES FOR HOUSTON CHRONICLE MEDIA GROUP
Monday 06. May 2013 - Robert D. Cravaritis has been named Executive Vice President of Sales for Houston Chronicle Media Group, a Hearst Corporation company. He will office out of the Houston Chronicle building in downtown Houston. The announcement was made by Mark Aldam, president of Hearst Newspapers.
Cravaritis will focus on the sales direction and daily operations of the auto, real estate, recruitment, and local/major retail sales groups. Cravaritis will report to Aldam.
“I am confident that Rob’s diversified sales leadership experience will be invaluable to this position,” Aldam said. “Rob will help us maximize the opportunities in these critical categories with a combination of print and digital solutions for our customers. Under his focused leadership, we expect strong growth.”

Cravaritis previously held the position of Vice President over Recruitment Advertising and Marketplaces for Hearst-owned Texas newspapers. Cravaritis joined Hearst with over 18 years of managing experience in sales and business development. Before Hearst, Cravaritis held various sales and leadership positions at CareerBuilder, Dex Media, Verizon Information Services and AOL.
Rob is a graduate of Frostburg State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing.
