JANE WLADAR NAMED PUBLISHER AND CHIEF REVENUE OFFICER OF COUNTRY LIVING
Monday 01. April 2013 - Jane Wladar was named publisher and chief revenue officer of Country Living it was announced today by Patricia Haegele, senior vice president, publishing director and chief revenue officer of Hearst Magazines women's lifestyle group (Country Living, Good Housekeeping and Woman's Day).
Wladar has been group associate publisher of Popular Mechanics, Car and Driver and Road & Track since October 2011. The appointment is effective as of April 3, and she will report to Haegele.
Wladar joined Hearst Magazines in 1999 as national sales director for the company’s corporate direct-to-consumer division. In 2000, she was named advertising director of Popular Mechanics. She ascended to associate publisher in 2003, pioneering innovative, multi-platform advertising programs for key clients, adding Car and Driver and Road & Track to her purview in 2011.
In her new role, Wladar will oversee Country Living’s advertising and marketing initiatives. The magazine, which provides a contemporary take on country, recorded a 5.4 percent increase in total paid circulation in the second half of 2012, versus the same period in 2011, according to the Alliance for Audited Media.
“Jane has a wonderfully diverse backgroundher creativity and innovation will be an asset to Country Living,” Haegele said. “With the partnership of Editor-in-Chief Sarah Gray Miller, Jane is poised to take Country Living to new heights.”
Prior to her time at Hearst, Wladar was advertising director at I.D. Magazine. She began her career as marketing manager/account executive at Art & Auction Magazine.
