FIRST XAAR DIGITAL INKJET SEMINARS AT INDIAN CERAMICS

Friday 15. March 2013 - Xaar, the world's leading independent supplier of industrial inkjet printheads, will host its first programme of digital ceramic decoration seminars at Indian Ceramics from 19-21 March 2013 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

Digital decoration of ceramic tiles is growing rapidly as manufacturers around the world take advantage of the considerable benefits of inkjet. To meet the industry’s need for in-depth information about the technology, Xaar is holding a series of free 30-minute seminars throughout the show in Conference Hall 1. All visitors are welcome and booking is not required. The seminar topics, which will be repeated every day, include:
Guide to good printhead handling and maintenance
Guide to Xaar technology and why the Xaar 1001 is the printhead of choice in the ceramics market
The importance of using Xaar-approved inks which have optimised waveforms
The many benefits of digital ceramic tile decoration printers
How imaging software is used to replicate natural materials for digital printing
“Our seminars at Indian Ceramics will provide in-depth guidance to everyone involved or interested in digital ceramic tile printing and who wishes to know more about the technology. Those who attend will also learn why the market-leading Xaar 1001 is the industry’s most reliable printhead on the market,” says Bob Bobertz, General Manager, Xaar Asia Pacific.
Many of the world’s leading tile producers have chosen printers with Xaar 1001 inkjet printheads due to the high reliability and production performance enabled by Xaar’s unique TF Technology. Today, EFI Cretaprint, Hope, Intesa-Sacmi, KERAjet, Meijia, New King Time, Projecta SiTi B&T, Teckwin, TecnoFerrari and TSC all manufacture digital ceramic tile printers that use Xaar technology.
It is the revolutionary design of the Xaar 1001 printhead, with Xaar’s patented TF Technology ink recirculation and Hybrid Side Shooter (HSS) architecture which has made it the market leader in the ceramic tile industry. Despite other printhead manufacturers’ claims about ink recirculation, only the Xaar 1001’s TF Technology combined with HSS can deliver the high flow rate past the back of the inkjet nozzle for effective air bubble and particle removal. TF Technology ensures inks are kept in suspension and in constant motion to prevent nozzle blocking which can occur in some printheads. In addition, TF Technology provides thermal control to the printhead. This maintains a stable ink temperature and ensures consistent print quality. Overall TF Technology delivers unrivalled reliability and lowest maintenance requirements, both of which are essential in the harsh industrial environments found in ceramic tile factories.
Throughout the show visitors to the Xaar booth (N15) will be able to see the unique design of the Xaar 1001 printhead, animated and at microscopic levels, using Augmented Reality.
