XAAR DEMONSTRATES SUPERIOR PRINTHEAD PERFORMANCE WITH TF TECHNOLOGY AT EXPO REVESTIR
Thursday 07. March 2013 - At EXPO REVESTIR Xaar will show why the Xaar 1001, with its unique design and true ink recirculation technology, has become the most successful printhead in the ceramics industry.
Many of the world’s leading tile producers have chosen printers with Xaar 1001 inkjet printheads due to the high reliability and production performance enabled by Xaar’s unique TF Technology.
Today, EFI Cretaprint, Hope, Intesa-Sacmi, KERAjet, Meijia, New King Time, Projecta SiTi B&T, Teckwin, TecnoFerrari and TSC all manufacture digital ceramic tile printers that use Xaar technology.
The Xaar 1001 uses Xaar’s patented TF Technology ink recirculation and Hybrid Side Shooter (HSS) architecture. Together they deliver the highest flow rate of ink past the back of the inkjet nozzle for effective air bubble and particle removal. As a result, heavily-pigmented ceramic inks are kept in suspension and in constant motion to prevent nozzle blocking which can occur in some printheads. Another benefit of TF Technology is thermal control of the printhead. This maintains a constant ink temperature which ensures consistent print quality. Overall, manufacturers and tile printers all choose the Xaar 1001 because it provides unrivalled reliability, maximum performance and production uptime even in the harshest ceramic tile manufacturing environment.
“Despite the claims of other manufacturers, no other printhead on the market has the same true ink recirculation capabilities or high flow rate as the Xaar 1001,” says Edsel Lonza, Sales Manager, Xaar Latin America. “This is why this printhead is driving the rapid adoption of digital decoration in the ceramics industry globally.”
To meet the needs of the ceramic tile industry, the Xaar 1001 is now available in two versions. The Xaar 1001 GS6 jets dynamically-variable 6-42 picolitre drops, which makes it ideal for the production of pale shades and detailed tile designs viewed at close quarters, such as wall tiles. The Xaar 1001 GS12 model jets larger 12-84 picolitre drops, delivering even more ink for bolder tile colours and effects. Alternatively, the Xaar 1001 GS12 can give the same ink coverage as the GS6, but at double the print speed. With both printheads ceramic tile manufacturers can achieve a stunning replication of natural materials like marble and granite, as well as highly decorative creative new designs.
Xaar partners with leading ink manufacturers to develop and approve the widest range of inks specifically tailored to work with its printheads. As a result, users can be confident that they will achieve optimum print performance and jetting reliability. Visitors to the Xaar booth (190) at EXPO REVESTIR can find out more about Xaar 1001-approved inks and be able to see the unique design of the Xaar 1001 printhead, animated and at microscopic levels, using Augmented Reality
