Valpak Announces New Franchisee In Madison, Wis.
Friday 25. January 2013 - Target Marketing Solutions, Inc. to Bring the Blue Envelope to Dane, Columbia, Jefferson, Rock and Sauk Counties
Valpak, a leader in local print and digital coupons, announced today that it has signed a franchise agreement with Target Marketing Solutions, Inc., to assume local ownership of the Madison, Wis., market. Target Marketing Solutions, Inc., plans to grow the previously existing territory to include the counties of Dane, Columbia, Jefferson, Rock and Sauk, and mailed their first Valpak Blue Envelope in November.
“As I was researching franchise opportunities, I saw how rewarding owning a Valpak franchise was for my brother and his wife who have been Valpak franchisees for over 10 years,” said Tammy Sullivan, President of Target Marketing Solutions, Inc., Valpak of Madison franchisee. “I believe that the culture of the brand and their beliefs align with my own, making it an easy choice to select Valpak as a first franchise.”
Tammy Sullivan, president of Target Marketing Solutions, Inc., was first introduced to Valpak through her brother and sister-in-law who previously owned the Madison, Wis., Valpak territory. Realizing that there was an opportunity to acquire the Valpak franchise from her brother, Sullivan took the next steps and became a Valpak franchise owner. Her business plan includes expanding the existing Valpak territory to include new counties that had previously not benefitted from Valpak products and services.
“As we continue to grow throughout the United States, it is beneficial for Valpak to expand existing territories to include additional communities,” said Todd Leiser, director of franchise sales at Valpak. “Tammy’s long-term plans to grow the Valpak of Madison territory, combined with her strong local community involvement, along with business and sales experience make her a perfect franchise partner.”
A leader in cooperative direct mail, Valpak mails over 20 billion coupons to more than 40 million demographically-targeted households per month in more than 100 markets in 48 states and four Canadian provinces. Today, in addition to its flagship Blue Envelope, the brand offers its business customers an impressive portfolio of digital advertising products including Smartphone apps, which are also integrated into the new Passbook, Valpak Deals, QR codes, online coupons and SMS/text messaging to reach consumers at home and on-the-go.
Ideal candidates for Valpak franchise ownership should possess a desire to join a trusted industry-leading brand, work within a proven franchise system, develop relationships with local businesses and have a comfort level with selling new, digital technologies. Franchisees should also possess a minimum liquidity of $75,000 and a minimum net worth of $150,000.
Valpak franchisees benefit from extensive training and support including more than 300 hours of classroom, in-field and online training. Additionally, the Valpak peer mentoring program pairs tenured Valpak franchisees with new franchisees for a two-year period. Valpak also handles all of the coupon design, printing, collation and postal logistics for its franchisees, allowing them to concentrate on selling branded direct marketing campaigns to customers within their exclusive territory.
