Richard Timson Appointed New Managing Director of Heidelberg Graphic Equipment Ltd. (Australia/New Zealand)

Wednesday 31. October 2012 - Effective from November 1, 2012, Richard Timson will take over the position as Managing Director of Heidelberg Graphic Equipment Ltd. (Heidelberg Australia and New Zealand), a sales and service unit of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg). Richard Timson succeeds Andy Vels Jensen, who will leave the company at the end of October 2012 at his own request.

Richard Timson (51) began his career in the print media industry in 1979 when he started working with W.A. Currie in Melbourne.
Richard joined Heidelberg in 1988 as Account Manager with Seligson and Clare, where he was responsible for sales of both printing equipment and related products within a designated territory.
Heidelberg held a 70-percent share in Seligson and Clare until 1990/91, when Heidelberg took over the remaining 30 percent.
In 1996, Richard was appointed Regional Sales Manager Queensland. From May 2002 to April 2004 he was responsible as Regional Sales Manager for all of the Northern regions, covering Queensland, New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory. In 2006, Richard took on the role of heading up the Northern Region and became an integral part of the HAN management team.
In 2004 Richard studied business Administration at the Australian Graduate School of Management, which is part of the New South Wales University in Sydney.
Richard Timson is married with two sons.
