Hinckley firm updates it CtP with Suprasetter A75
Friday 26. October 2012 - A Suprasetter A75 will be installed at John Baxter & Sons next month. It is being bought with production costs and environmental benefits in mind.
“This latest generation Suprasetter will be cheaper to run because it requires much less energy, there is no need for air conditioning or an ambient temperature and it has a higher output of 22 plates an hour,” says Adrian Stacey-Connor, managing director.
The company is environmentally-minded and holds FSC and ISO 14001 (as well as ISO 9001) certification. It uses vegetable inks on low alcohol presses and in the past two years has been a convert to Saphira Chem-free plates. Now it can reduce the carbon footprint of the CtP because of the lower energy usage.
“Everyone wants green credentials. We count councils among our customers and this issue is very important to them,” says Mr Stacey-Connor.
The company has elected to take out a three year warranty on the Suprasetter A75. “Presses stand still without plates so warranty for us is peace of mind. Heidelberg are the experts in support. With the first Suprasetter when a lamp went they were there immediately and replaced it. Their service levels are second to none.”
John Baxter & Sons has been in operation since 1856, a solid foundation for today’s business which puts an emphasis on providing customers with reliability, quality and strong technical support.
