Screen Truepress Jet W1632UV Brings Unmatched Quality, Precision to Flatbed Inkjet at SGIA Expo 2012

Tuesday 23. October 2012 - Producing detailed images on signs and displays that are intended to get a close-up view is one of the best ways for specialty graphics shops to increase business. The Truepress Jet W1632UV — the latest solution in Screen's robust portfolio of UV inkjet printing systems — tackles this and other tough wide-format printing challenges.

At SGIA Expo 2012, the Truepress Jet W1632UV makes its North American trade show debut, following its much-anticipated launch at drupa 2012 last May. Visitors to the Screen USA booth have an opportunity to evaluate the Truepress Jet W1632UV operating at different production speeds and output resolutions. Live print jobs are showcasing the crisp text, fine definition and smooth vignettes produced on styrene, Sintra and coated sheets.
Screen has combined outstanding imaging technology, superior engineering and a sturdy flatbed design. Thanks to the 12 picoliter micro-droplet printheads and maximum apparent resolution of 1,200 dpi, the Truepress Jet W1632UV meets the highest standards of the point-of-purchase and graphic display markets.
The Truepress Jet W1632UV boasts fine definition and incredible photographic quality on media up to 62.9 x 125.9 inches. With high-speed printing of 1,011 square feet per hour, the best in its class, the Truepress Jet W1632UV can quickly print jobs that require short turnarounds or involve large numbers of copies.
Screen’s proprietary flexible Truepress UV inks provide a wide-gamut color space and the flexibility to be bent or cut. The Truepress Jet W1632UV comes standard with four process colors (CMYK) plus light cyan and light magenta inks for more photo-realistic images.
The Truepress Jet W1632UV’s auto-cleaning function maintains the printheads in the best condition for production. The on-board nozzle mapping function ensures continuous printing with no loss of throughput in the event of missing nozzles.
