LFP - Large-Format-Printing
It is good, not to have to turn customers away or send them anywhere else says Paceprint
Monday 15. October 2012 - Paceprint has been an early mover in diversifying their design and commercial printing business to deliver a highly attractive and profitable range of services. The Managing Director, Nicholas Cleeve, has again extended the Paceprint portfolio of services with the installation of a Roland DG wide format printer.
Paceprint discovered Roland DG when they were asked to produce a range of printed literature promoting Roland’s printers. Nicholas was sufficiently intrigued by the brochures contents to seek out a demonstration of the hardware it promoted. The printer was installed a matter of weeks later.
Paceprint operates from two sites,a purpose built production unit incorporating the design suite and printing facilities and also a retail outlet in the town centre. It was decided to install the Roland printer in the busy high street site. The shop itself has a seating area where customers’ needs are discussed with Paceprint’s staff, and a well populated display area featuring examples of the wide range of services the company produces. The Roland printer is displayed specifically in open view to generate interest in the product and General Manager Neil Tucker confirms it attracts a lot of attention and comment.
The role of Integrating the Roland wide format printer into Paceprint’s operation fell to Neil who after on site training and an increased understanding of the systems and the way it actually produces the larger-than-life results its known for, quickly began to flex the equipment’s muscles.
Having the Roland printer in house has enabled Paceprint to extend the range of output offered to clients. They are now able to supply collateral requirements to initial design and printing enquiries with the supply of a complete new range of display solutions and ideas.
The reverse is true, too according to Neil Tucker. “Now that we have the wide format capability in house, we do find ourselves in a good position to cross sell our other services to people seeking out wide format print.”
In terms of using its Roland machine Paceprint has grasped many new opportunities and now sells the whole range of output the Roland wide format printer is capable of producing.
“On a daily basis we are designing and producing graphics for signage, exhibition systems, banners and all manner of graphics and other items on the Roland. We also use the services of a local specialist who installs or applies our work on site to buildings or vehicles.” says Neil
“A big part of the appeal of keeping services in-house is control over quality and costs.”
One look around the Paceprint showroom tells you that the company sets itself very high standards. Those high standards are a requirement applied to all work and services the company produces – including of course, its wide format print.
Having the Roland printer in house has undoubtedly helped Paceprint to build customers loyalty to the Paceprint brand.
“We have all worked tirelessly to build Paceprint and to extend our reputation for high quality services into new areas of expertise,” comments Neil
“We recognised and responded to a demand from our clients to expand our portfolio of services as their requirements for more from us grew. It is really fulfilling not to have to turn any customers away or to ever have to send them anywhere else.”
