GRAPH EXPO 2012 POSITIVELY PRINT AWARD GOES TO PRINTCITY FOR PRINT PROMOTION CAMPAIGN
Tuesday 09. October 2012 - European Printing Industry Alliance Honored for "PRINT: Seen! Lean and Green"
The Graphic Arts Show Company (GASC) has announced the award recipient of “Positively Print,” a print advocacy program designed to promote the power of print in today’s media mix. The 2012 awardee, PrintCity’s “PRINT! Seen! Lean and Green,” was recognized following the EXECUTIVE OUTLOOK Conference on October 6, the eve of GRAPH EXPO 2012, the year’s largest graphic communications exhibition and conference in the Americas. GRAPH EXPO 2012 runs from October 7-10, 2012, in Chicago’s McCormick Place.
“PRINT! Seen! Lean and Green” explores why PrintCity views the future of print as “an evolving mix of multiple scenarios for different market segments, economies and cultures. However, all of them will have a common need for a two-part strategy to optimize their success. Firstly, print must be seen, it needs to stand in its own right and be valued as a functional media. This needs to be underpinned with a combined lean and green manufacturing strategy to ensure its profitability and sustainability.” GRAPH EXPO attendees can obtain a “no cost” printed copy of “PRINT! Seen! Lean and Green” at: www.printcity.de/shop.
Intended to spotlight the variety of ways in which the effectiveness of print is being promoted, Positively Print entries could be produced in any media, as long as the focus of the submissions were on print targeting print buyers, print influencers and the broader community. Nominated candidates were evaluated on their originality and perceived effectiveness in delivering the message of print as an integral-and effective-component of today’s integrated marketing campaigns.
“The purpose of the Positively Print program is to share examples of creative and effective print advocacy campaigns with the entire graphic communications industry,” said Ralph Nappi, President of GASC. “We want to demonstrate to companies involved in print that advocating for print can be done and helps to carry a powerful message that will benefit the entire industry.”
The Positively Print program was created and is administered as an extension of the EXECUTIVE OUTLOOK Conference by GASC co-owners-the National Association for Printing Leadership (NAPL), NPES The Association for Suppliers of Printing, Publishing and Converting Technologies, and the Printing Industries of America-with the support of the Print Council.
