Polar boosts cutting output at Irish trade house
Friday 21. September 2012 - Irish trade printer Joyceprint has purchased a Polar 66. Managing director Michael Joyce says: "If you work for other printers and graphic design houses, the equipment has to be right, the results have to be perfect. We specialise in NCR papers and having a clamp which doesn't mark or darken any part of the sheet is a really big advantage."
The Foxford, County Mayo company, handles invoices, forms and other NCR documents for printers throughout Ireland, north and south of the border, producing work on both litho and digital equipment. Both streams of work will be handled on the Polar.
Joyceprint has replaced a 12 year old machine from another supplier. “We wanted a programmable guillotine that was more accurate, reliable and robust,” says Mr Joyce. “We looked widely at a variety of machines, new and secondhand. We found the price and performance of the Polar very attractive. There was little difference in price between a new Polar and many second hand machines and it was competitive against rival products so we are very pleased with our purchase. It’s perfect.”
The company had never had equipment from Heidelberg before but the first experience has been good. “They are very good, very efficient. The delivered when they said they would and the installation went exactly as planned,” says Mr Joyce.
