Xerox Named a Desktop Outsourcing Leader in 2012 Magic Quadrant report
Friday 21. September 2012 - Xerox (NYSE:XRX) has been designated a leader in Desktop Outsourcing services in Gartner Inc.'s "2012 Magic Quadrant for Desktop Outsourcing Services, North America1" report.
The Magic Quadrant is a proprietary research tool developed by Gartner that offers visual snapshots of a market’s direction, maturity and participants, and evaluates companies on completeness of vision and ability to execute.
“Gartner’s perspective of desktop outsourcing providers is a key metric for companies of all sizes to analyze and evaluate a vendor’s strengths, weaknesses and approach,” said Kevin Kyser, chief operating officer and executive vice president, Xerox’s information technology group. “Being designated as a leader in the desktop outsourcing provider sector confirms our ongoing investment and commitment to quality standards and our customer focus.”
Desktop managed services include the day-to-day responsibilities for operating and managing the desktop computers and other supporting equipment. These services include procuring equipment and supporting the installation and maintenance with professional services to support the operation and management of the desktop.
Xerox, through its acquisition of Affiliated Computer Services in 2010, expanded its enterprise and small business services to include information technology outsourcing services, such as help desk, desktop outsourcing, and application and infrastructure services.
