Print, Digital, Tablets and More: World Publishing Expo (IFRA Expo) Announces Conference Schedule
Tuesday 18. September 2012 - Already the world's largest global trade exhibition for the news publishing and media industry, the World Publishing Expo is expanding the conferences and seminars that accompany the event, making it even more attractive for the thousands of visitors who attend each year.
The Expo, organised by the World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers (WAN-IFRA) from 29 to 31 October next in Frankfurt, Germany, will provide a venue for CEOs, IT directors, business development directors, technical heads and chief editors to experience the new and proven technologies for publishing news in print and on tablets, mobile, and online.
The World Publishing Expo’s innovative Media Port seminars will feature sessions on tablet and mobile trends, innovative advertising, digital innovation, social media best cases and excellence in printing. The Power of Print sessions will focus on innovations in printing, selling print capacity and upgrading printing presses. And the Expo will also include the 5th Tablet and Apps Summit, and the Advertising Summit 2012.
Few events provide such wide range of speakers covering all aspects of news publishing technology: from people like Alexandra Hardiman, Director of Mobile Products at the New York Times, to Torsten Kruse, Product & Technology Manager for Axel Springer in Germany, to Anders Berglund, Sales Director of Aftonbladet in Sweden.
The Expo, to be held at the Frankfurt Messe exhibition fairground, will also be the site of a FAZ Talk from the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung on The Future of Media Use: Who pays for content?” and “Print meets Social Media: Convergence or Competition?”, with Frank Schirrmacher, Co-Publisher of FAZ, Derk Haank, CEO Springer Science+Business Media, and others.
The World Publishing Expo, formerly known as the IFRA Expo & Conference, is the leading exhibition for technology to publish news on tablets, mobile, in print and online. Last year’s Expo in Vienna drew 8,000 visitors from more than 90 countries and 306 exhibitors, including printing press manufacturers, editorial and advertising system providers, new media providers and other suppliers to the media industry.
