IBIS Reaches New Milestones after DRUPA 2012
Thursday 23. August 2012 - 100th Smart-binder to ship to SPIRE in Boston
The 100th IBIS Smart-binder is being shipped to SPIRE, Inc. in Boston. “Two new Smart-binder “Plus” machines will perform critical roles in producing over a million saddle-stitched booklets for SPIRE during the month of September”, said Spire’s President Rick Dyer. “The Smart-binder has a reputation for being a solid and reliable performer and was therefore our first choice for a finishing system for this type of 24/7 operation”.
Spire is a Boston-based commercial printing and mailing facility, servicing clients worldwide. Developing innovative solutions for customers is a hallmark of Spire’s operating philosophy.
The new Smart-binder Plus was introduced at DRUPA with a host of new features, including higher throughput speeds, a new more modern appearance, second-to-none sheet tracking capability, new integrated binding options, and more. The launch of the new Smart-binder ‘Plus’ model has resulted in the sale of six new Smart-binder systems since Drupa .
Flexibility Is The Key
The Smart-binder is a highly flexible machine, which can be modified to perform special applications that can be critical to your success. “Customized” booklets are often required with features such as dynamic perforation for tear-out pages, punched holes, reply envelope and plastic card inserts, re-moisten able glue strips, gate-folded covers, and more!
Extremely short-runs and short-turn-around jobs require the greatest flexibility and number of options in the finishing system. At IBIS we have many years of “hands-on” bindery experience to configure the most productive and efficient system for your specific application.
