EFI at Print 2013

Thursday 05. September 2013 - EFI is presenting one of the industry's most advanced technological portfolios in booth 2602 at Print 13, North America's largest graphic arts tradeshow, 8-12 September at McCormick Place in Chicago. EFI's exhibit emphasises the power printing businesses have to reinvent themselves by improving both productivity and profitability in a highly competitive and dynamically changing marketplace.

“EFI is especially mindful of the need to provide real value to our customers, most of which are independent, family-owned companies,” said Guy Gecht, CEO of EFI. “It is our goal to help customers excel by automating their operations and by providing profitable new avenues for growth. Visitors to our booth will see how we do this by bringing innovation to just about every aspect of a printing operation, from job capture and workflow to digital production and superwide format printing.”

EFI comes to Print 13 with the most awarded line-up in company history: In the MUST SEE ‘EMS technology competition directed by Print 13’s management firm, the Graphic Arts Show Company, EFI won eight awards, earning more honours than any other entrant.

At previous trade shows, EFI has featured its Integrated Workflow Experience. Print 13 marks a shift to a broader Innovation Experience fuelled by EFI’s passion for giving customers a competitive advantage. At Print 13, this includes advanced inkjet technologies such as the EFI R3225 superwide format printer, EFI VUTEk GS2000lx and VUTEk HS100 Pro superwide format products with first-in-class LED technology, a new VUTEk GS-TF thermoforming system, and the EFI Jetrion 4900ML digital press for narrow format and label printing.

EFI GlossControl, a new product premiering at the show, is a post-press device that modifies the gloss appearance of output from electro-photographic dry toner printers to deliver the quality many print end-users prefer.

EFI’s Innovation Experience at Print 13 also emphasises the company’s industry-leading Productivity Software workflow portfolio, including EFI Pace, Monarch, Radius and PrintSmith Vision ERP/MIS software; EFI Auto-Count direct-machine interface technology; EFI OPS and Digital StoreFront web-to-print and eCommerce software; and the EFI SmartSign Analytics signage data collection and analysis product.

Print 13 also marks the North American debut of EFI IQuote, a web-based, JDF-compliant estimating software that can quickly calculate the most efficient production path for jobs. IQuote also provides a simple-to-use but robust interface for fast production simulations so users can make smarter decisions in less time.

EFI Fiery digital front end and server offerings at Print 13 include new versions of EFI Fiery Color Profiler Suite and EFI Fiery JobFlow digital printworkflow products, as well as the EFI Fiery proServer for ceramic tile decoration.EFI Fiery Go, a product making its worldwide debut at Print 13, is a visually appealing and user-friendly mobile app that lets users manage their Fiery servers directly from their iPads.

One of EFI’s partners, Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America, is also launching a new production printer line with EFI in EFI’s Print 13 booth. The new Sharp Pro Series MX-6500N and MX-7500N Digital Document Systems are the first production printers to offer full control of EFI’s Fiery Command WorkStation job management interface from the printers’ operation panel.

EFI will also participate in numerous partner locations at Print 13, including the booths for Canon, Konica Minolta, Ricoh and Xerox. This strong partner presence reinforces the value of EFI’s market-leading product portfolio and offers visitors an additional view of how these offerings are integrated into real-world, multivendor production platforms.
