Solna – from Swedish to Swiss

Tuesday 05. April 2011 - The Swiss press manufacturer WIFAG Maschinenfabrik AG has acquired all the shares in the Solna Company Group.

Wifag Maschinenfabrik AG, well known in the graphic industry around the globe, has fully acquired the Solna Group and also Ekpac Graphics Ltd. in Hong Kong. The traditional Bernese company is interwined with Swiss quality, productivity, reliability and security and with the acquisition of Solna, WIFAG enlarges its product portfolio with economical and competitive printing presses for the still growing newspaper press market in the Emerging Markets.
The Solna organization in Sweden will remain in place and serve the existing customer base and also we responsible for the Solna product orders. Wifag and Solna printing presses destined for the European, North and South American markets will be assembled in Fribourg, Switzerland, where the Wifag headquarters has recently moved.
