Expert dialogue with Lifecycle Service
Monday 07. March 2011 - Professionals exchanged news and views
More than 50 German-speaking experts from front-ranking filling plants and many disparate sectors of the food and beverage industries accepted the invitation from Krones Lifecycle Service and the Krones Academy to attend an expert dialogue at Neutraubling in late September 2010. Over one and a half days, they were offered a mixture of presentations and discussion forums on the subjects of maintenance strategies, staff management and skilling, and energy/media optimisation.
For Krones, this was the first event of its kind, and we were keen to see how the concept would be received by our guests. The symposium had been designed to ensure that it was primarily customers representatives speaking, able to communicate their empirical feedback, their strategies and their hands-on solutional approaches in presentations and comments from the floor. In addition, conferees also had plenty of opportunity to get proactively involved in contributing their knowledge to the discussion forums, and to exchange news and views with each other. Krones had chosen this neutral platform quite deliberately in order to offer those attending an opportunity to familiarise themselves with disparate procedural approaches and problem-solving modes taken directly from the field. Both the customers involved and the staff from Krones LCS and R&D came away with an abundance of valuable points to think about. Those attending were highly complimentary about Krones idea of organising the event in this form, and were keen to see it repeated. Now that the first expert dialogue has been so well received, Krones will be expanding the categories of participant and is now planning this symposium on an international level for customers from the food and beverage industries.
